News: New Speed Game of Rock, Rolling Out!

10/11/07: Aleken challenges you to unscramble the timeline of Rock and Roll with it’s NEW Long Live Rock! ™ board game.

Aleken Games calls its exciting new board game “The speed game of Rock!” where players race against the clock to unscramble significant happenings on the timeline of Rock and Roll. A rockin’ good time, every time, Long Live Rock! (MSRP $24.95) is designed for 1 or more players, ages 14 and up. Long Live Rock! also comes in card/travel editions for the Rock n Roller on the run!

Ken Eichstaedt, president of Aleken Games, said, “This fast-paced game is a sure hit with game players and music fans everywhere. What makes this game so fun and interesting is that Long Live Rock! supplies the Who, What Where and When of Rock and Roll. It’s up to the players to “unscramble” and organize them as they race against time. This game is a blast.”

With every turn each player or team takes three Rock cards, each of which contains a famous “happening” in Rock and Roll. That player or team then has one minute to arrange the cards face-up in correct chronological order. Now flip the cards over. If the events are in the correct date order, that player or team gets to move forward one space on the board. Both you and your opponents also have the opportunity to gain an additional space by correctly guessing the actual year that one of the events took place. The first player or team to cross the finish line wins. Coined as the “un-trivia” game for Rock and Roll fans by co-creator Julie Eichstaedt, Aleken Games’ Long Live Rock! was designed to be played in about 30 minutes and is perfect for parties, get-togethers, coffee time, break time or anytime!

Now available at Spencer Gifts and Hastings Entertainment stores, MusiciansFriend.com and book, game and music instrument retailers across the USA or by calling 1-877-295-2740.
